GBG2023 listed shop conversion micro on a busy roundabout northeast of the centre, apparently sister to a newer second one in Bispham. A square room with exposed brick walls to the side and biggish clear windows to the front. The counter is rear right and L shaped, two T-Bars on the front face and four pulls on the side. A corridor to the side of the counter leads back to the toilets. Two from Tatton, a Bradfield and a Salamander as the cask choice; ABK for lagers, Totally Brewed and Three Fields plus a couple of standard ciders. My beer from Tatton was in excellent order. Pleasant enough place but quiet on my visit other than piped music. 15/20 mins walk from the centre of Blackpool but there are lots of buses.

The Cask is well away from the centre of Blackpool, but is well served by several local bus routes. Situated on a parade of shops at a busy set of traffic lights, it's a typical micropub shop conversion in a single room. Tables and chairs are set up to the front on the pavement in good weather.

Locals were quite chatty and there were a number of friendly dogs present too. The two barmen were also reasonably cheerful. 4 handpulls were offering Salamander Platypus Porter, Handsome Stranger, Northern Monkey The Last Drop & Conwy Beachcomber. The cider was Lilley's Mango. Craft beers were Three Friends Bandito & Utown Peaches & Cream.

We didn't have long to drink up here before needing to be back in the centre. But my porter was nice and a longer visit is probably required at some point in the future.
