Built on the site of a former Shell petrol station ,hence the name.The bar is on the triangular ground floor in a room faced with dark wood pannels,with a lino squares floor and long bench seats in green velour running down both walls,with the bar at the widest point.It's all very hip but antiseptic.In good weather there are large exterior decks,some with views of the Regents Canal below.A jazz soundtrack was decent ,while the food offering looked expensive and a bit trendy.
The keg gantry has some quite mainstream keg and a little craft beer from the 8 taps.My Beavertown Gamma Ray at £6.60 was acceptable but the range here pales into insignificance compared with the nearby Beer + Burger.
No reason to revisit,maybe better for food as there is a first floor restaurant.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Chapel Down Gin Works
In a fine beside the Regent's Canal and housed in a very modern building that reflects the famous gas-holders across the other side of the N1C development. The ground-floor bar isn't that large, but an equal amount of seating is available out on the water-side terrace with views towards the Coal Drops Yard, etc. The restaurant (presumably with even better views) is at first-floor level. Not clear whether the on-site gin production is up and running yet, but since I was looking for a beer anyway, I found the Curious Brew Lager and Session IPA (£6.00) being dispensed.
