I’ve been into a few of these Botanist bars, but I think this one must be the most memorable to date. With the usual floral theme throughout, the entrance leads to a front seating area with standard seating up the left and a couple of banquette booths the right. A little bridge leads over a bricked in ‘stream’ that runs around the bar creating a central tile floored bar area with gazebos to the left and a band stand the right. More bridges cross this ‘stream’ to seating areas up the left and right-hand walls. The large glass ceiling must create an atmosphere when it’s lashing it down outside. The barman was polite, but half a Birra Moretti was £3.75, ouch! Other premium lagers were available alongside a craft range, heaven knows what they were charging for them. This place is certainly different, but at them prices I’ll be giving it a miss in future.
