Largish riverside hotel down a long driveway, with bits dating back centuries but many additions and alterations along the way. I didn't see much inside while checking in but, being Brunning and Price, very tastefully done. For us the main attraction was the lovely terrace and huge garden, though there was an assumption we'd be eating even at 4pm. Anyway once we'd got to sit where we wanted to sit rather than where they wanted us to sit (90% of the tables were unused on a Monday afternoon, go figure) Purity Gold was attractively served. Other choices included Landlord and Butty Bach.

Prices were fair for such a swish place, £4.35 for the Purity, I expected closer to a fiver.

Would make an excellent stop after going round the nearby Ragley Hall.
