Northern Way is a large L-shaped open plan pub with a long bar counter up the right-hand wall. The four hand pumps stood unused so only standard and premium keg were available. Televisions throughout are used for airing Sky Sports, but during my recent early Tuesday evening visit karaoke was in progress. There were a fair few in, but not my cup of tea.

A huge barn of a place, much bigger than it looks on the outside. Really nicely decorated on the inside with loads of interesting things on the walls and in small alcoves, along with loads of TVs which were showing racing on my Friday, late afternoon visit. There's a real mix of furniture, high tables, settles, comfy chairs and standard dining tables. Four handpumps serving a couple of Marston's beers plus two from Cheadle Brewhouse. A pint of Cheadle Mosaic was a ridiculous £1.60, so it may well have been happy hour. It didn't taste much of mosaic, but the at that price.... I didn't mind this place at all and will happily pay a return visit when next in Bolton.
