The Deacon is situated in a prominent position in the centre of Lytham and was originally the William Deacons Bank which can be traced back to the 1700's.There is a large outdoor seating area at the front overlooking the square and a quite plush interior with the gents toilets exceptional.
There was no cask although not a bad range of keg taps,although like most pubs in Lytham a bit on the pricey side. A pint of Deacon Lager was a £5
