I managed to be in town as this new addition appeared on PuG so thought I'd take the plunge while I was here. Like most of its compatriots around the country, it's a shop conversion with scuffed polished wooden flooring, a Baroque-style collection of paintings on the walls, mixed furniture and no real ale. I took a can of Magic Rock High Wire Grapefruit for £3.95. The staff were friendly and the muzak was muted but pleasant and the place was very busy on a clement mid-Sunday afternoon. There's some seating out front for when the weather holds out, and to be fair, Loungers are one of the better chains out there, but you do feel a little bit in the way sometimes just having a drink.
