This is a typically basic brewery tap, this time by Mobberley. Bare brick walls and mainly high tables and chairs although there are a few standard tables seating 2 or 4 dotted about. Pizza is the only food available, but they did look good. All 3 handpumps were serving Mobberley beers and my pint was in good nick. The annoying tw*t level was very high on my Friday post work visit though with lots of idiots buying their own drink and then paying on a card blocking up the bar. I'll happily call in again though, especially at a different time.

Visited on Saturday evening, to find the place incredibly busy, so it is fair to say that this place is obviously not struggling for trade as a relative newcomer to Stockport town centre. Three cask ales at the bar, Taking The Pith, 1924 and Road Runner. There were 11 keg taps on the back wall. Service was slower than it could have been, with three chaps behind the bar but seeming to get in each other's way. A group in front of me had ordered a dozen or so shots but they were splitting payment over a few cards. I almost got so bored of waiting at the bar that I walked out, but decided to persist as I wanted to give the place a proper try. eventually got served and had the 1924 which was fine. We managed to find a barrel to perch at to have our drinks. The place had loud music and loud conversation. For me, I would perhaps prefer to go back at a quieter time and I would probably appreciate the place a bit more then. I also felt there was some room for improvement in terms of slickness of the bar service, but I may well have caught them at a bad time or with new staff on, so won't judge too harshly. They do home made pizzas and the ones being brought out to the tables looked good. Again, if I were to stay to sample the food it would probably be at a quieter time. Overall not bad and pleased to have tried it.

Enjoyed our visit to this Mobberley brewery tap which had 3 cask ales and 11 key keg taps. Rustic feel to it, and lots of areas for high seating and vertical drinking. Normal tables and chairs towards the rear where there is a pizza kitchen. We enjoyed our cask Mobberley 1924.
