Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Four-Ale Taproom

This micro-pub has a slightly different look to most, with industrial-look furniture and up to eight casks on a twin-rack stillage with very prominent green cooling jackets. As you would expect from the name, four real ales are available at any one time: Old Slug from Pitchfork, Red Cat Prowler (£3.40), Triple fff Old Dray and Munby's from Fallen Acorn on my visit. Four craft keg beers and four draught ciders are also offered.

E TA left this review about The Four-Ale Taproom

A micro pub and craft beer bar (as it describes itself) in a former shop premises in the Stoke Road shopping area. The single room has stillage on one side with 8 barrels, and there is a row of taps at the front serving keg beers. Some snacks are available, but not hot food, and dogs are welcomed. They operate a policy of keeping mobile phones on silent, though WiFi is available. There are two tall tables in the middle, the rest of the seating is made from old aluminium barrels. The young barmaid who greeted us was cheerful and enthusiastic, while the clientele were the usual collection of micro-goers, some of whom have nautical leanings judging by a sign for ‘The Heads’. Ales on were Yeovil’s Lynx-Wildcat, Upham’s Tipster and Cherokee, Rocket from Brunswick, while there were 4 keg beers, 3 real ciders and a perry available. The only downside is that the beer was served in glasses which made it harder to drink as the liquid level dropped – why not stick with proper glasses? Otherwise, I’d be very happy indeed to come back.
