Steve C left this review about The Greenstone

Located in a retail park a brisk walk out of town is the Marston’s owned Greenstone which is a family friendly pub and carvery. The interior is L-shaped with a central L-shaped bar counter that supports standard and premium keg alongside Beavertown Neck Oil and four hand pumps. Three of these were badged with Pedigree and the fourth Hobgoblin. At the far left end of the bar counter is a carvery serving area, the food actually smelt quite good. I didn’t note the price of the carvery, but the entry-level burger was priced at £10.75. My lunchtime visit was in the school Easter holidays so there was a mix of mum’s with kids and pensioners in the quarter full pub. A proper pub would never survive in this location, so this is as good as it’s going to get.
