Bistro-cum-bar-via- Mafioso-via-Dublin. Or something. Anyway, it’s an unusual concept, the front of the place was chock full of ladies wot lunch, a bar in the middle and a pubby bit at the back. Three ales were on and I had to admit we were dubious as to what would come out - Tim Taylor Landlord and Adnams Bitter as the regulars with Oakham Endless Summer as a guest. My half of the latter as in excellent shape and was possibly the beer of the day. This place will certainly not be everyone’s cup of tea but as a concept it’s worthy and it was run well. Lunch and pint next time?
