Small micropub where we were fortunate to grab a table by the window. I believe there are only 4 tables. Partitions have been placed between tables as a Covid measure.
This place felt much more down-to-earth than the previous 2 micropubs we'd been to in Sidcup, with seemingly a much more local clientele. The barmaid was chirpy.
The 3 real ales from South London and Kent were Anspach & Hobday The Ordinary Bitter, Spartan Swords & Sandal IPA & Iron Pier Cast Iron Stout. Fridges contained a number of boxes of Lilley's ciders - Gladiator, Mango Cider, Cherries & Berries, Chocolate Apple Cider & Rhubarb Cider, in addition to a decent bottled beer and cider selection.
Another decent micropub that despite being off the beaten track has a good local following.

My recent experience of the Halfway house was similar to Ray's. Cask beers were dispensed by handpump, and the three on were Peckham Kinsale (£3.80); Gipsy Hill Hepcat (£4); and One Mile End Salvation Pale Ale (£4), all with little bottles in front of them to give some idea o the beer styles. Food seemed to be limited to crisps and nuts and the like. I thought that this small even by microbrewery standards - it was pretty busy on a Wednesday afternoon with over a dozen punters in there, as well as a young family sitting outside. Inside the furnishings are traditional micropub, with just tall benches, tall tables and tall stools.
It's a typical micropub. If you like the breed then then this one's as good as any.

I really liked this micropub, it had lots of atmosphere and the owner was friendly and chatty. My pint of Canopy Brewery Sunway Pale Ale was excellent and a good contender for Beer of the Week. This is an average sized micro with a grey and white painted colour scheme. Three handpulls and a choice of six beers from keg served from the back of the bar.
