Situated on the main A449 heading north out of Wolverhampton towards the M6, this is a large micropub with limited opening hours. In fact it only opens Thursday and Friday evenings, late on Saturday afternoons and all day on Sundays.

A fairly long bar for a micropub can be found towards the rear right-hand corner. There is also shelving and fridges with bottled and canned beer options. The selection can be found on blackboards on the right-hand side wall. On my visit, the real ales were Enville Blizzard, Derby Christmas As Usual, Loch Lomond Silkie Stout & Fownd Gold. Ciders were Broadoak Draught Cider, Weston's Old Rosie, Lilley's Pina Colada Cider, Healey's Flattler, Harry's Scrummage & Gwynt Y Ddraig Two Trees Perry.

Despite locals happily waving goodbye to the visiting away fans driving by on coaches and being blissfully unaware that there was one amongst their number, I really should have stayed here for a couple more. I'd happily return.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Keg and Comfort

Housed in a former bank (recalled by the snug being named 'The Bank Vault'), this one is verging on being a mini-pub, but the furniture, decor and atmosphere are all micro-pub despite its larger size. The counter is also long enough to accommodate three members of staff and six handpumps, featuring the Pitchfork Hewish Ruby mild (£3.10) and other real ales from Burton Bridge, Mad Dog and Fownes plus a couple of draught ciders. Overall, well worth making a trip out to those one (but not on Mondays to Wednesdays when closed).

A truly excellent micropub this one, where a lot of thought and planning has gone into the interior. We popped in here on a Sunday afternoon, where we met the owners, a husband and wife team, who were very friendly and welcoming. The main feature for me was the bar counter and bar front which was very striking. The bar area is situated along the rear wall and a lot of time has been spent in creating the bar counter, which has been made up from numerous pieces of 2" x 1" blocks, which have been glued together along the counter top and then numerous coats of varnish applied.
The bar front was like something from Tate Modern with 700 hundred coloured beer and cider bottles stacked on top of one another, glued together with mastic and illuminated with strip lighting from behind. Upturned barrels with bottle tops cemented in resin, were used as glass rests, a large funky wall clock made up from 12 positioned bottles around the clock perimeter helped you tell the time. Two separate loos with a hand painted silhouette of Clint Eastwood and Marilyn Monroe helped you find the right room.
Six handpumps with four ales and two ciders. We went for the Peakstones Rock Brewery Blonde, which was superb. There was also a choice of three ciders from the cellar and three different bottled ciders.
