Walking down Hooper Street it just looks like a dead end with the railway rushing past at the end but don't give up,there is a narrow entrance to an industrial unit that houses both the brewery and the tap.Even the industrial door down the side doesn't looks like it will open, but give it a shove and you will enter into a modern feeling space with a drinking shelf running down the middle, seating against the rear wall and a circular log burner giving out great heat into a large space. Bar to the right .It feels cosy ,somewhat hipsterish and on our early evening visits there were a few buggies among the family groups.
There is a wide choice from 14 taps, the beer menu doesn't mention if any are key keg but there is a lot of continental inspired brews, some pokey.I went for the house Fruitti Tutti Sour served in schooner measure ,enjoyable for those that can handle a sour.Styles available on my trip included porters, stout, kolsch,IPA,NEIPA,marzen, pale and weisse.
We played the table skittle game and supped.Opening at 5pm during the week (not Mondays) and a valid choice if crawling the local pubs in this part of Cambridge.

A rough looking brewery tap in a 1920s or 30s industrial building beside the railway you can feel and hear the trains rattle by - bear with me it gets much better. The brewery produces interesting beers in a variety of styles, I’ve attached a beer list as an example. Housed in a rectangular industrial building, the walls have been whitewashed, a counter and a central seating counter have been installed. Big industrial lights hang from the low sloping ceiling and of course grey paint predominates. The wall at the far right end has 14 keg taps behind the counter and there’s a fridge full of cans etc. The inner side of the room has a series of tables and metal framed chairs and there are chunky pre war radiators and what appears to be a wood burning stove - possibly no longer de rigueur in PC Cambridge. Very few of the customers and staff had beards and tattoos. It’s GBG2022 listed as the beers are unfiltered and so contain live yeast meeting CAMRA’s definition of “real ale”. They’re happy for pizzas to be delivered from a nearby supplier.
