Industrial, fairly large ale house near railway station. Plenty of beer options. Modern popular pub

I paid an unscheduled return visit to this prominent pub opposite Newcastle station on a weekday afternoon. The interior feels a bit too modern for my liking with high tables and chairs making it feel more like a fast food restaurant than a bar/pub. Nevertheless, the cask ale selection was much better than I remembered - Fierce & Noble Brizzle Pale, Buxton Right To Roam, Bedlam Benchmark, Atom Venturi Effect, 360 Brewing Session & Brass Castle Burnout.
Real ciders were Lilley's Cherries & Berries & Broadoak Perry, whilst craft beers were Thornbridge Green Mountain, Firebrick Tyne 9, Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout, Haacht Mystic Kriek & Allendale Amber.
All beers are listed high above the bar back, from where they are all dispensed. The craft and keg are denoted, if you look carefully.
Staff were friendly and efficient. There were just a handful of other customers in.
Toilets upstairs overlook the bar and are unisex. They were in immaculate condition.

definitely one of the better and calmer options for a pint in the vicinity of the station, this modern industrial styled bar is a fine addition to the area. Excellent range of beers of all varieties, including some rather interesting obscure bottles advertised at the bar for almost £10 each! just pizza served from a food perspective, and they do a good job of it too.
