A very curious place with a variety of business spaces (whether linked or not isn't entirely clear) set around a courtyard accessed through an archway. The cramped bar is to the left as you enter, and the limited space is partly taken up by music equipment so the outdoor seating under canvas (giving an unexpected hint of the exotic) seemed a better bet. That said, my half of Abbeydale Moonshine wasn't up to much, and the keg selection is restricted, so we moved on quite quickly.

There seems to be a new addition to Hagglers Corner called Takk, but think it is all the same concern.

A recent conversion of part of this old building, with work still ongoing a few weeks after the bar was officially opened. The bar can be accessed by the old street door (on the left) or from a modern glass door leading in from the yard. The building used to house a washing machine factory, apparently, and the large doorway through which waggons used to enter is still intact.
Furnishing is limited to sofas and stools. On the bar is a solitary hand pump and three keg fonts: Abbeydale Moonshine the sole cask ale, and Goose Island IPA, Löwenbräu and Stella Artois the keg offerings. I've not had the Goose Island before, so I had a chat with the bar manager while I waited for it to warm up to a temperature where I could drink it without danger of all my fillings dropping out. Whereupon it turned out to be a fairly ordinary IPA, similar to Jaipur.
It was quiet at the time of my early evening visit, but apparently it livens up later, especially as they stay open until 3am. There's a DJ platter next to the bar, and some seriously large loud speakers (for the size of the room), with Bob Marley featuring heavily at the time of my visit. There's an event space upstairs and also a separate cafe. This is not one I would go out of my way to visit again, but it seems to be doing well and I wish them every success.
