There was scaffolding up outside the Bank when I visited so I was unable to take in the noticeable exterior, but thankfully it was still open. An L-shaped bar counter runs along the right wall and tucked away to the right is a small seating area. The bar faces a few tables and chairs as well as steps up to a mezzanine seating area under the front windows. Upstairs is more seating and a second bar that faces a balcony that overlooks the mezzanine area. I spotted a couple of televisions that were showing Commonwealth Games highlights, Sky Sports is advertised.
Sharp’s Doom Bar and St Austell Tribute (x2) were the cask options available from the lower bar alongside standard keg, Peroni and some craft products. I didn’t see any handpumps on the top bar. Food is available; the bacon cheeseburger is £9.75 and delivery is available. This is a decent pub, but the service was painfully slow, the service of food certainly takes priority over the service of beer.

Former bank and grade 2 listed building that somehow escaped the bombing raids of WW2 and is now an isolated building that has still retained a great deal of it's original features.
After entering through the vestibule there is a small room to your immediate right with the bar facing you.On the left is a raised seating area from which there is a large wooded impressive staircase leading to an upper level where there is another bar plus more seating and going forward outside there is a large outdoor area.
There were 3 reasonably priced cask beers on in both bars plus some good deals on the food front.A couple of interesting features caught my eye was the mosaic floor at the entrance and perhaps more so the stained glass work on the pubs interior.

Visited here with my wife on 21st October for a pint and something to eat. We're not 21 any more and wanted somewhere that can cater for sensible people and actually found the right place!

Beer (Bass) was well priced, albeit a bit frothy and the food was very good for the price. It was busy there because of the theatre crowds about to depart, but not overcrowded. We will definitely be going here again when in Plymouth!
