Formerly a blacksmiths, this is now a pizza pub and inevitably almost all tables are laid for dining. Neutral tones inside and corporate don’t-scare-the-horses muzak. Rear extension dining room. Hops hang above the bar. An impressive three local ales from Hanlons, Tanners and Exeter Avocet, the latter of which showed that the pumps need a good clean. One plus point was the friendly service from the generally lovely barmaid. It is what it is - an upmarket Harvester.
