A fairly average micro, which was kitted out in rough cut pine timber and pale green painted walls. The front room housed the bar along the right hand wall and was the main drinking area, as the adjoining back room as dark and drab. I also thought the place needed some maintenance as both toilets push down flush buttons were missing, something like that does annoy me as it doesn't take much of an effort to fix.
Beer wise they had two from Brewsmith, Mosiac and Pale, Q Brew Carnforth Golden Ale, Roosters Buckage, Appleyby Middle Aged Spread Stout and Salopian Luminesence.

Leyland's second micropub is situated very handily for the station. It's a shop conversion consisting of a split level room with the bar and tables at the front half and lower seating at the rear.
There were six cask ales available Tiny Rebel Juice, Doghouse Best, Thornbridge Jaipur, Long Man Old Man, Titanic Cappuccino and Cross Bay Zenith. I went for the Tiny Rebel Juice (£3.00) and the Jaipur which I didn't write down the price for but was under £3.50. The beer quality wasn't quite as good as the Market Ale House but was OK. It's well worth a look.

On entry the bar is on your right with wooden tables and chairs to your left.Going forward up a large step there is more seating including a couple of leather armchairs.Called in around 1-30pm on a Friday and I think there was 7 cask beers on the go but did not see past the Titanic's Plum Porter which was on form and a snip at £3.00p a pint.
