Fairly standard member of the Lounge chain. We called in here twice over our two days and nights in Newcastle as Ms CAMRA likes them. It's quite a large space with the walls covered in paintings and stuffed animals as usual. No kids in the pub during either of our visits which were both at night. They sell Goose Island IPA on keg, so I was reasonably happy. The only downside was that they suddenly decided to close at 10:30 on Thursday night despite advertising that they were open later and despite being pretty busy.

One of those Loungers bars that pop up everywhere. Larger than the others I've been in though the decor is the same. If you've been in one of their places you'll know what its like. Fancy lighting, grand paintings on the walls, wooden floors and some seats nicked from local primary schools. The usual pervading smell of coffee lingers in the air and lots of bellyaching children of an afternoon. I thought there might be some nod towards a certain ex-England manager but I couldn't see anything. The only beer of interest if the usual Bath Ales stout that they all sell.
