Bucking Fastard left this review about Hammerton Brewery

According to their website, this brewery tap is only open to prebooked (and pre paid) brewery tour customers during the Friday and Saturday of the last weekend of each month.Worth checking directly with the brewery if this policy is to change.

This has now developed into a very good brewery tap.The opening hours are more
generous too, open at 4pm on Thursday, noon Friday,Saturday and Sunday with closing at 10.30pm,earlier on Sundays.
There are external long benches on both sides of the industrial units with some under cover
,while the inside has a lot of seating. The bar is at the back on the left side and features 19 keg taps on two gantries. On my trip there was a sparkling cider,a guest in Kernel IPA,while the other 17 taps were dedicated to Hammerton output, with a large mix of styles namely 7 stouts,2 IPA's,3 Pale Ales,a fruit sour,a weisse,a lager,a saison and an alcohol free beer.My choice of Dias de los Muertos,a mexican cake stout ,was very tasty although it was served a little colder than real ale with more carbonation. However I really enjoyed it,served in an elegant branded half glass.
Inside there is also a mezzanine seating level and an open kitchen serving sour dough sandwiches and pizze which smelt good. It's popular with a hipster crowd but beer lovers will make their presence felt, and everybody was welcoming and chatty.
Given the choice on offer,it's a least worth buying a thirds flight at £6 to kick off with.Lots of high ABV so expect high prices but there are several low ABV choices, and naturally there are glasses for thirds, halves, schooners and pints.
I will be back and will spend much longer next time, this is at the cutting edge of the London beer scene just a shame that none of their excellent beers are available in real ale form here.Had that been the case ,then even higher marks would have been awarded.
