I’ve been into quite a few Holts pubs over the last few months, but The Stonemill is the first Holts carvery I have visited. My visit was on a midweek evening last week when the kitchen was closed so I didn’t see any menus. There is a food serving area to the left of the bar, both of which are found centrally on the rear wall. Lots of seating is found throughout for diners.
The bar supports the usual Holts keg range as well as four hand pumps. I found the service to be polite, but the pub was empty. No doubt this is why it shuts at 22:00 Monday to Thursday.

This is a very large modern pub that caters for families and couples alike. Lots of tables and the menu is vast covering all major food groups. Focus is on hand made pizzas and the carvery but there are plenty of other dishes. The deserts are my favourite part though as they are simply enormous and a vast choice. there are about 20 different flavours of home made ice cream and the gateaux,eclairs and vanilla slices have to be seen to be believed. Take it home in a box if you are too stuffed to attempt whilst there!
