As noted, Beeropolis is from the same stable as The Last Heretic and, although just as cleverly done, it feels quite different. This is partly down to the shape of the space but it also feels plush and comfortable.
As with the Last Heretic, the welcome is warm and knowledgeable on the beer front. Again, the choice is wide but with the focus more on keg than cask and displayed on a screen. Cask options were Allsops Pale Ale and Purple Moose Whakahari with 12 keg selections which included Titanic Plum Porter, Thornbridge/Big Smoke Pigeon Fancier, Brew by Numbers Farmhouse Pale, Play Brew Pina Colada Sour Trinity Milli Van Chilli, a chilli chocolate stout. Styles took in stouts, including an excellent white stout, porters, IPAs and sours with strengths from 4% through to 10%.
Plenty to go at here with some intriguing beers to try.

Beeropolis is owned by the same people behind the Last Heretic micro near the station ,although this outlet has a greater focus on keg beers, with just two cask options in Allsops Pale and Purple Moose Whakahri on my trip.
The interior is quite small but with well designed seating ,maximising space.the bar is to the right and quite small with keg taps set into the wall. There is a very useful tablet which describes the beer options with a wide range of styles and strength. The barman was very friendly and helpful when advise is needed on beer choice.I sampled halves of Happy Cow Shake Stout,Play Brew Fried Egg Lemon Meringue Sour !! and a third of a powerful Play Brew White Skull.Like at Brews of the World, leading keg brewers will be featured here ,so it's well worth seeking out.Ale and beer selection will be different from the Last Heretic,so don't worry about the combined ownership.
Worth including on any crawl around this fine town.

A straightforward micro in a small oblong room sparsely decorated in not-so-great mint green walls and some better bench wall seating/high tables round the periphery, though I struggled to get comfortable. No bar or servery, plod over to the blackboard and the owner will sidle up to you and fetch the beer from a cold store (I can only imagine how chaotic that must be when it’s busy). Four cask on my visit (Grasshopper Knee High, Blue Monkey Chocolate Orange, Thornbridge Jaipur and Uttoxeter Question Mark, a half of the latter was an solid NBSS 3.5) plus two Sam Smiths keg and some of their bottles as well as some ciders. No ales priced over £3.70, so a veritable bargain centre. Beers are available in thirds, which is a nice touch. Like many a micro it lacked a bit of atmosphere. Perhaps unusually for a micro, there's a tidy rear patio garden. Worth popping in, though I’d only stay for the one.
