Old Boots left this review about Wilfred's
shop conversion with three seating areas, one with Britannia tables and stools plus a drinking shelf across the front window looking onto Kirkgate. Behind is an area within railings equipped with a shelf and high stools, beyond that is the counter. Three pulls here with Theakstons Best (R) and guests from Roosters and Rudgate, there are four craft keg fonts and fridge of cans and bottles to complete the beer range, obviously wines and spirits are also available. To the left is a separate sitting room with a sofa and pew for seating alongside more Britannias. Decor is dark grey walls with mirrors and old photos of the nearby cathedral. Early days for this one but it's pleasant and different to the mix of town pubs elsewhere.
