Family-friendly, new-build Marstons pub-by-numbers. Huge amount of staff with the organisational skills of the Keystone Kops. Bathroom tiled floor, mushroom shades and bits of wood. Kids play area outside. Four ales on from the Marston’s stable; Ringwood Best, Marstons Pedigree, Brakspear Oxford Gold and a lifeless, sparklerised Hobgoblin. All a bit ‘so-what’. For a kid-friendly pub with a large play-equipped garden, decent beer and character, take a 5 minute drive out to the Craven Arms in Enborne instead.
