Yet another cafe bar in Frome, this one is one of the Loungers chain so is slightly different from the others. It’s in a small shopping centre, has a couple of seats outside but doesn’t have a view worth looking at. There is a long bar with on the ground floor, decorated in usual Loungers style, with framed pictures and a variety of hanging lampshades under a post-industrial open-boarded ceiling. There is a smaller seating area upstairs, which in turn leads to the lavatories a bit like in Wetherspoons. The flooring is the now-common strip wood with ‘old gym’ markings. No real ale, naturally. The beer and cider choices were Brixton IPA, Hofmeister, Cruzcampo, Henry Weston’s, Old Mout, Menebrea and Moretti. The staff were pleasant, the other customers were a mixed bag ranging from normal shoppers to a few refugees from Glastonbury. No surprises here, and I’m not sure it would be my first choice of cafe in Frome.
