This is as much a coffee bar cum restaurant than than a pub/bar, but it does sell beer from the tap which you can buy without having to eat, so qualifies as a pub. None of the tables were laid for diners. Interestingly there are two counters in here; the one facing you as you enter is for coffee, and the one on the right is for booze.

The three keg taps (no real ale of course) were for Schiehallion Lager, Yu Lu Siren Session Pale Ale, and Five Points Pale Ale, all at £6 a pint. I asked for a half of the latter, but no halves here - only pints or two-thirds. A girl at another table also asked for a half and settled for two-thirds, and I'm not sure that I approve of encouraging people to drink more than they want. Anyway, I had a friendly chat with the barman about the only pub that I know that serves beer in two-thirds - no halves or pints - and when I proffered a fiver in the hope that it would cover the cost of my two/thirds he said "it's on us". Suitably surprised at such unexpected generosity I rummaged in my pocket and found a few bob for the charity box. You can see into the kitchen where there's a large wood-fired pizza oven, and there are various beer and pizza deals on offer.

This is a fairly large operation, with a fair number of punters in on Wednesday afternoon. It's a member of a small bicycle themed pub chain; cyclists are strongly encouraged to patronise the place, to the extent that there's a bicycle rack on which to hang bikes just inside the door of the pub. Bicycles form an important art of the decor as well, with a handful of brightly painted bicycles displayed on the flat roof above the entrance. There are a few seats outside on the pavement.

This was a surprisingly enjoyable brief stopover, although probably a one-off visit. I quite enjoyed the Five Points hoppy beer as well.
