Now doing really well, usually three local ales with two interesting guests in excellent condition. This is worth trekking out for.
August 2015
Now free to enter to the general public after previously being a members-only enclave. Four interesting ales available, alongside a real cider. Food lunchtimes. Two rooms, the bar area to the left with traditional wood fittings is the more charismatic, the other room being a fairly perfunctory affair. Overlooks some nice grounds and the outside seating is nice in the summer months. Beware limited opening hours outside of term-time.
