Colin Walker left this review about Wheatsheaf Inn

The inn sits in the very picturesque village of Symington. The building is a 15th century building and has a very old feel about the place, with the large sandstone walls on show in the interior. A hostelry has been here since the 1700's and in the days of stagecoaches the inn was an important posting stage. The father, son and daughter team of Milton, Martin and Marnie Thompson have run the inn for the last 20 years. Food is served in the small area next to the bar or further through into the lounge. There is also a beer garden where meals can also be served.
