Alan Winfield left this review about The Alpine
The Alpine is a large smart looking estate pub that is situated in the Greasbrough area of Rotherham.
Once inside there was a very large bar to the front, the long serving bar faced, there was comfortable bench seating in large bays facing the bar with cahirs, the floor was carpeted throughout.
There was a small stage to the left and a small dance floor situated close to this, the right side had a pool table and darts board.
There was a seperate room to the rear which had its own bar, there was a full size snooker table in this room and it was in use.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg Samuel Smiths Yorkshire bitter which was a decent enough drink and a bargain at £1.90 a pint, the other keg bitter was John Smiths smooth crap.
I was quite happy drinking in this pub,i would also have liked to have had a game of snooker.
