This is a relatively new pub, converted from two shops. Inside it's made to look old, even though it's new and has two levels. The lower level has lots of comfy seating. The upper level has a couple of high tables and several round ones of varying sizes. There are loads of old radios scattered around the place. The roaring fire was welcome on a freezing cold Friday. 3 handpumps on the bar with a pretty pedestrian range, but my pint of Weetwood Cheshire Cat was in good nick. I'll bring Ms CAMRA in here next time we're in Stockport. Has a Motown & soul DJ on Friday nights and live music on Saturdays.

It's a pity we didn't take a picture when visiting this pub, but it was a bad night with wind and lashing rain. I heard on the grapevine that this pub had recently been refurbished and the new owner had spent a lot of money on it. It certainly looked the part and we found the interior to be very stylish and that included the barmaid, who was well dressed, along with her black top hat with feathers sticking out the side. The interior consisted of a floor boarded main room with the bar situated on the right hand side. A further area known as The Snubbery was accessible down a couple of steps from the main room. Interesting features included a feature wall with lots of different shaped wall clocks and the bar stools, which were finished in a dark blue material and button backed.
Three ales on handpump, which were Mansfield English Pride, Weetwood Cheshire Cat and Longman Brewery Old Man. We went for the Weetwood and prices were ok, £4.90 for a pint and a half.
