As described by others below, I found this traditional high street local to be welcoming and convivial. There was a large TV at the back showing football, and there were 1 or 2 family groups enjoying themselves in a civilised manner. Three dry pumps and one dispensing Jail Ale, which was in decent condition. Worth including in a crawl.

This was the first of three pubs I sampled in Honiton. It's a traditional coaching inn on the middle of the town's lengthy High Street.
Entrance is via the yard at the side of the pub. You arrive in a small front drinking area, with more seating towards the rear of the pub, where a TV can also be found. Beyond that, a corridor leads to the toilets with a door for a skittle alley too.
Locals and staff seemed friendly enough. The real ale was Landlord.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Three Tuns Inn
Very traditional pub on one side of a covered alleyway, partly opened-out inside to leave a two-part bar with the main seating / dining area at the back. Also has a pool room and skittle alley beyond. Mix of furniture and restrained decor. Live music advertised. Friendly welcome, and there was a good community - if rather un-pub-like - feel to the place when I stopped by on a Saturday morning to find it mostly full of older ladies drinking coffee. A pair of handpumps on each part of the counter, offering London Pride and the more local Dartmoor Jail Ale (£1.55, half).
