The William Peverel as mentioned below is a large shop conversion that was done a few years ago and is on the main high street the runs along the middle of the village. The pub is a large square shaped room with high ceilings and a bar that runs three quarters of the way down the right hand wall. There is a collection of tables and chairs in the middle with some tall legged ones towards the front. There is also a room just off the main room and some large cushioned chairs in front of the kitchen area at the back. The decor is pretty standard spoons but with the open plan nature of the building feels a little cold but an effort has been put in to give it a bit of character with some fancy chandeliers and windows as well as some nice wood paneling in certain areas. This is a very odd spoons purely because of the nature of where it is found. Because Bullwell is on the whole is in a very old and deprived area of Nottingham the long list of terrible pubs it has all sell generic Keg beers at extremely cheap prices with sub £2 pint a common feature on certain days/times in some pubs. Because of this It is by no means the cheapest drinking spot in town and if anything The prices in here are slightly higher than some of their other suburban outlets in the greater city are which means less desirable characters tend to avoid. The beer line up on previous visits has not been the beat but was slightly improved on my last visit and consisted of The usual Trio of Doom, Brains SA (£1.89), Butcombe Gold (£1.89 Milestone Summer Loving and Magpie Best with some either coming soon or duplicated. Admittedly not the best choice ever in a spoons but the Butcombe was half decent. It seems strange a spoons being the fanciest pub in town but here in Bullwell it sadly is> If you ever find yourself around the town its Sadly here or the Newstead Abbey as your only real ale options. Not a great spoons but fantastic in comparison to the competition.

When I turned up here early on a Thursday afternoon my first thought was that it was a former Cinema but according to What Pub it was a Wilkinsons shop. Inside it's got a low ceiling as you enter but opens out into a high ceilinged area. There is also a small rather enclosed room for eating at the rear. Furnishings are fairly typical.
The bar has ten hand pumps which had one unused, a festival cider, Doom Bore, Nottingham Bullion then Ruddles, Magpie Brewing Magpie Best & Dukeries Black Swan doubled. I went for the Black Swan (£2.15) which was in good nick.
I thought it was a reasonable Spoons.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The William Peverel (JD Wetherspoon)

Looks like a new building of an unusual design featuring a high central hall with a vaulted ceiling, but it is apparently a shop conversion. Decor includes some baronial elements and a modern stained-glass artwork. Reasonable mix of seating, though, and a patio beer garden to rear. Ten handpumps, but a pretty dull and duplicated range (of the Ruddles, Deuchar's IPA, Bombardier, Spitfire and Abbot variety) enlivened only by the local Dukeries Pale (£1.99).
