Country pub that is actually in Powys on the Welsh side of the border. The bar is in front of you as you enter, with seating areas either side. The right-hand side is mainly for dining. Although on my Friday lunchtime visit, I believe there were also people eating to the left. An elderly drinker was sat at the corner of the bar.
Service was a bit on the slow side, with the landlord prioritising meal service. Three handpulls were all clipped. The regular beer is Wye Valley Butty Bach, with a couple of guests from Hafod - Sunrise & Solo. My Solo was a decent beer that was well-kept.
