The Crab, previously The Crab and Bucket, is an open plan single room pub with a U-shaped bar on the right hand wall and tables and chairs around the remaining walls. Sharp’s Doom Bar was available on one of the two handpumps, the second was unused. However, Salcombe Brewery’s Pale Ale was listed on the chalk board behind the bar. Standard and premium keg products were also available. The food options stretch to sandwiches and pork pies. A ham sandwich was priced at £8. During my visit on a recent Thursday afternoon all of the tables were taken up and the customers mainly seemed to be locals. The service was polite, but there are better options in the immediate area.
