Wasn't sure that the photo I took was of The Viking, because there were no pub signs. Most of it was boarded up although it was still trading. There were customers outside. The building was where I remembered it.

A long thin pub which was very busy when I visited mid Thursday afternoon. An almost constant stream of taxis taking people home. This must have been the local for a lot of mature people before the council knocked down a lot of the tenements in this area and all along Maryhill Road. The pub is situated on a very busy part of Maryhill Road with a large Tesco across the road and McDonalds at the rear side of the pub. If space is available park in the street next to the pub or in McDonald’s and pop in for a coffee to sober up, before your other half drives you home.
