Very old timber framed pub that is set in an historic area of the quayside. The pub is split into two separate bars, one being at the front, and the other bar is accessed down an alley on the right. The Bar is made up of cupboards and display cabinets, ect with other antiquities scattered around including a few ancient chandeliers, and the likes of David Dickinson would have a burster here.Thought the pub had charm and was full of character whereas the wife thought it was shabby and unloved.Surprisingly the pub has a vegetarian menu, and if you are in this area of Newcastle the pub is definitely worth a visit
