Alan Winfield left this review about The William Bass

When i first went in this pub in May 1981 the pub was called the Tiger but it ended its days as the William Bass.
This pub used to be on the pedestrianised market street and once inside there was a squarish room at the front which was comfortable enough.
The pub was a Stones tied house and there was one real ale which was a decent drink of Stones bitter.
Sadly this pub closed down several years ago and has probably been turned into a shop.
