Graham Coombs left this review about Angel Inn

A great little unspoilt pub with a plain exterior. Inside is a splendidly cosy bar with timbered ceilings and a large inglenook fireplace. Furniture is mainly old wooden settles. A dining area extends off to one side and apparently round the back but this was not in use at time of visit, with conversation being the main entertainment. Sadly the beer range did not reach similar traditional levels, with Worthington Smooth the only bitter. I liked this pub very much, but shame about the beer. Note it only opens from 16.00 on weekdays.
