This place has been in existence since at least 1701 when it was a Young’s & Bainbridge house. Rebuilt in the 19th century in a very grand style, it was destroyed during World War II, only to be rebuilt as a modest estate-style affair, run by Young’s, demolished in 2008, the current replacement dating from 2011.
JAQPTIO’s description of this being a ‘stealth’ Young’s outlet, it is as is broadly stated a sterile corporate affair with bright lighting. An approach to the bar revealed that the pumps have been removed and by March last year according to CAMRA.
As there was no real ale and no real reason to stay, even if they had any, I left.

Very modern looking, outside and in. Very bright due to the large windows. Different types of seating available. Kitchen is on show. Boring music over the speakers. 3 ale taps 2 working and,company policy must have changed, as one was turned round. Not bad except £4.30 for Young's ordinary? Maybe I've been spoilt by Wetherspoons.

Cant argue with the previous reviews.Modern light and bright interior.Fairly busy with Youngs bitter and special on hand pump.
