This is a detached bar, eatery and live music venue in the heart of Darlaston. It is the former Midland, later HSBC Bank building and as such it has class. It is in Georgian style, with large Romanesque windows, neo-classical columns, a moulded stone front entrance and a balustrade. Sadly, there is a modern brick annexe to the side, taking away some of the quality.

The interior is an open-plan room with a central island serving bar. The decor is white and black wood panel, with some black patterned wallpaper, with a wood floor and modern square tile ceiling. A few modern pictures and old Guinness posters decorate the walls. To the right on entry is a dining area, i didn't eat so can't comment on that, but it operates 12-6 kind of period. In the middle of the room there are a couple of pool tables and a punchbag machine at the back. There is a DJ area up some steps. The raised stage area has comfy seats and tables on when not in use and there is a sofa area, with candles lighted just to the side. There is a massive wall-screen and a few TVs dotted about the place - one had some daytime stuff on. The background music was festive Xmas songs at a decent level. The service was friendly and there were just a few people in.

Beer; no real ale was on just keg stuff, with no MILD.

It is a younger persons place by night you feel, as the live music venue takes over from the bar. I couldn't help but like this place, even though it isn't a place i would come to, as a real ale drinker. A lot crammed into one room, yet with a feel of space - good luck to them, I say.
