Bucking Fastard left this review about The Aragon

Small and traditional boozer with a wooden floor,L shaped interior with bench seating around the periphery and traditional tables. There were three flatscreens ,on mute on my visit but this is a Celtic pub if that matters to you.
The keg selection was very mainstream but there are two handpumps, one a house beer of unknown provenance, the other Caledonian Deuchars IPA,which took an age to get poured but was decent(NBSS 2.5).
Nothing out of the ordinary ,but not full of West End hipsters either.

An L-shaped, one room bar on trendy Byres Road which has retained a traditional feel despite the insertion of four big screen TVs. It tends to attract an older crowd than the students from the nearby University who generally favour the numerous more modern alternatives in the area. The comfortable bar seating is supplemented by a few tables outside on the pavement, although this is very limited due to space restrictions. There is a good selection of beers on draught, including Tennents, Stella Artois, Carling, Fosters, Kronenberg and Becks lagers, Guinness, McEwan’s 70 Shilling and John Smith’s. There is also a Guest Ales menu, which featured Deuchars, Caledonian 80 Shilling, Spitfire and Bombardier at the time of my visit. All in all, a very nice pub which is well worth a visit if you’re in the area and useful as a half way stopping point between the real ale emporiums of Tennents and The Three Judges.

A small single room High Street bar popular with students and locals. There are multipel tv screens and gaming machines which dominate the bar, and there is outside seating, though this was unoccupied due to the weather. There were 3 ales on - Deuchres IPA, Caledonian 80/- and Hobgoblin. I only tried the Deuchres which was in good condition, well kept and served at the right temperature. Staff were friendly enough. Worth dropping in for a swift one, using as a bolt-hole or including on a crawl as it sits nicely between the Three Judges and Tennents.
