Alan Winfield left this review about Firkin Ale

This pub was converted from other use and is is almost opposite Smiths of Bourne and just up from the Jubilee.
Once inside there was one large square room and the bar was at the rear and there was a step up to get to the bar, there were lots of normal tables and chairs dotted around the room.
There were four real ales on the bar i had a drink of Castle Rock Harvest pale and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Batemans XB, St Austell Tribute and Bombardier.
The pub was very busy with drinkers.
