The Lamb Inn, Mitcheldean

It is fair to say that taking a pit-stop in Mitcheldean, was not on my agenda during my annual travels by bus around "The Forest." Nothing wrong with Mitcheldean I hasten to add, I just had other plans.
Whist I was on the bus, I happened to notice that the Lamb Inn's exterior had been repainted, so I thought it wise to get off and photograph it. I was surprised to find it open at this time of day, as many of the forest pubs have unusual opening hours.

The interior of the pub has also had a make over, the decor is modern and functional. Two generously sized rooms, one for drinking and sports enthusiasts - there is a pool table, and prominently placed TV screen. The other room is set up for dining, there were some customers enjoyng a meal, when I glanced in there.

At the time of wrting there were two ales on, Butty Bach and Butcombe Original, so I had a diet coke which I went outside to enjoy.
