Will Larter left this review about The Bell Inn

A roadside pub with car park in front, the interior has been modernised, though still has individual rooms, two to the left, both quite small, and a larger one to the right. There is modern furniture and grey paint, and as if that wasn't enough there is tartan carpet which is also overwhelmingly grey. There were four hand pumps at the time of my visit, with Oakham Citra, Marstons Pedigree and Bass. I went for the last named and it was in very good condition (NBSS 3.5).

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Bell Inn

This was our first port of call on the Amberline bus ale trail from Derby. This is a two roomed pub with the main lounge and bar situated at the entrance, with a much smaller snug bar on the right hand side. The original low slung mahogany bar serves both rooms and was positioned along the back wall. The interior décor was traditional in style with a collection of beer memorabilia in the form of advertisement pictures and mirrors of Ruddles, Tetley's and Leeds Brewery etc, brass ornaments and local photographs. Both rooms was carpeted throughout and upholstered maroon patterned banquette seating ran around the perimeter walls. The cask ales on our visit was Oakham JHB, Oakham Citra, Shipstones Gold Star, Furnace Fun Sponge and Broad Oak Moonshine. The two regular ales were Marston's Pedigree and Doombar. I initially went for the Furnace Fun Sponge, but unfortunately it had seen better days. The manager immediately changed it to the Shipstones and he was very apologetic and slightly embarrassed that his young barmaid had served it.
