An impressive restaurant and bar in a grand building that was once part of Addenbrook Hospital, this place is worth coming to to eat and admire the architecture, but sadly not to drink ale. The wine list is tolerable, but predictably over-priced, and there is the option to have Adnam’s Broadside or Southwold in bottles. As with all the branches of this chain the emphasis is on food, not drink, so it doesn't feel like a pub at all – well, it isn’t really. The staff did their best to welcome us, and the atmosphere was reasonably civilised. I’d come back for a meal but it’s not suitable for inclusion on a crawl.
