Just off the high street in a quiet side road, this is a very pleasant and welcoming watering hole which offers freshly cooked, original food, a decent wine list, good ales and a relaxing atmosphere. There is a small bar at the front and a larger saloon behind with comfortable seating and a grand piano. Wood paneled walls, carpeted floors, open fireplaces a nice garden and relaxing background music complete the picture. There were 4 ales on – I had a pint of Hepworth Brewery's Iron Horse which was beautifully kept and really very refreshing. Newspapers were available. Folkestone is spoilt for decent pubs, but this one, a GBG pub, is very much worth a visit for food, drink and conviviality.

The interior of the Pullman is J shaped with seating around to the right of the entrance and more seating and a piano around to the larger left hand side. The décor is plush for public house standards with thick wooden furniture, cupboards full of crockery and a chaise lounge by the entrance. The back music was courtesy of classic FM and the barman was very polite. The bar is stocked with premium draught products alongside Guinness and the four hand pumps were drawing Brains’ Rev. James, Westerham’s Spirit of Kent, Hepworth’s Iron Horse and Robinsons’ Uncle Sams.
Out the back there is a cosy patio garden that is full of and surrounded by flora.

I liked it in here and will recommend it to others, as I am doing here.
