Looks decent from the outside with the impressive hanging barrel signage. Inside is narrow, knocked-through and a bit bland, though the left side has some nice painted box wall panelling and red fabric bench seating. Cricket on the telly and a sedate atmosphere despite being relatively busy and pretty blokey (‘more sausage than the butchers!’ as a companion commented). Five ales on and a fairly poor selection for a supposed freehouse; GK IPA, GK Abbot, Marstons Pedigree, a house brew by Grainstore and Theakston Lightfoot (so-so). Promises more than it delivers. 5.5

The Vaults is an oldish looking stone built pub.
Once inside the bar faces you and the pub is fairly narrow with one room running across the front of the pub this was carpeted and went down a couple steps to the left,the room seemed a bit dowdy and the few customers in were quite old.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Pedigree and this was a decent drink the other beer was GK IPA.
