Blue Scrumpy left this review about New Inn

The New Inn is the only pub in the village of Norton Lindsey and is the current local CAMRA branch (Heart of Warwickshire) pub of the year.

It's a community-run pub with an adjacent village shop. Inside, there is an L-shaped room with a screen listing the available beers. Unfortunately, the ale I chose ran out before a half could be poured. This left the remaining selection as Greene King IPA, Hook Norton Hooky, Blue Monkey BG Sips & Monty's Best Bitter. The IPA is their regular beer. My replacement was the Monty's, which was in good condition.

Quite a number of locals were congregated around the bar, making service difficult, whilst 3 lone casks were sat on a table in the middle of the room. All were milds (Hook Norton Hooky Mild, Holden's Black Country Mild & Church End Gravedigger's Mild), suggesting they'd had some kind of mini beer festival of milds and that these were the 3 remaining beers.

This village pub is certainly a credit to the community, is well worth a visit and was one of the highlights of our trip to Warwickshire.

Nick Davies left this review about New Inn

After being abandoned by Enterprise the New Inn was acquired by the community in 2016. It now operates for the benefit of the community, and thanks to the help of the local council a shop is soon to be added. Inside it's pleasant enough, if slightly sterile thanks to the necessary tidy up after Enterprise departed. Outside there's a nice garden and kiddies play area, though a bit detached from the main building.

Apart from, unfortunately, GKIPA, there are usually a couple of local brews, most likely from Purity or Church Farm.

It is an excellent example of what can be done to rescue village pubs. Norton Lindsay is a tiny settlement, I hope they can secure enough business to keep going. It's a good pub, and well worth visiting for that alone, and far more worthy of your spare cash than some of the dreadful corporate outlets around.
