Large establishment catering for visitors, facing the harbour and adjacent to the main public car park for St Mawes. The main room of the interior, described as a brasserie, is decked out in bright seaside colours with a conservatory to the front. To the other side is an extremely comfortable lounge area. There is a patio to the front. Ales are from St Austell.

I finished my 4 mile circular walk of St Mawes here on Wednesday and as it was a fine day, the outside seating area on the front patio was bustling with folk enjoying both food and the St Austell ales. Went into the bar area and paid my £4 for 2 halves of HSD which went down very well.

A large detached St Austell pub and restaurant that also does accommodation. The place is white rendered with blue paintwork around the sash windows, however, there is a grey conservatory built on the front that somewhat looks a little unattractive to me, but that is simply my opinion. There is also a large patio area.

The interior has an L-shaped foody room (including conservatory, which is totally dining), with the usual dining tables and chairs. There is a main door, but access can be obtained through the conservatory, where the wood serving bar is then to the left. The decor has half grey and cream walls, with cream and salmon at the back, with a white ceiling and stone flag floor, except in the conservatory where it was wood. There are some watercolours on the walls, sea related, some of which were for sale and there were a few model ships dotted about. There is a dart board. There was no TV that i saw and the background music was modern and at a decent level. The service was functional and the clientele was family based and it was busy enough.

Beer; usual tap stuff with St Austell Tribute, Trelawny and a very good Liquid Sunshine on handpull.

The beer was fine, it is just too foody a place for my personal taste
